We are using this magnet in a medical device (intravascular catheter).  As I mentioned earlier, the outer surface must be plated with pure gold (10 micron), all surfaces must be plated in gold, not just the OD surfaces.  The surface quality needs to be very smooth and clean, as this device will be in contact with patients.

Normally, the limitation of the length for magnetization is less than 2 inch.

So would an OD of 5.22 still be too large if we shortened the length to 2 inches? If it is not too big could you quote the attached magnets?

---Drill a hole in the centre of the magnet enough for a screw to pass through.

Usage of NdFeB Permanent Magnet  on Seatbelt Buckle:
I don’t have any drawings for now. These are rough ideas only. Just to give you an idea how we are using your magnets, refer below:

The magnet is used to activate our sensor when the seatbelt is fastened.
We glue the magnet on the seatbelt buckle/metal.
The problem is, after some time the magnet falls off even with super glue applied.
We were thinking of having a hole in the magnet and drilling a hole in the seatbelt buckle/metal and insert a screw and nut to hold it. But this idea takes time to do.
We are also thinking of a magnet carrier that can hold the magnet in the buckle. Maybe your engineers have some ideas?

Our engineers suggest machine a groove suitable for the magnet in the seatbelt buckle and then put the magnet with super glue into the groove.
This may keep the magnets from falling off from the buckle.

Drilling a Hole in the Magnet:
Thank you for the suggestions though we cannot do it since the vehicles are not ours.
I was thinking again of drilling a hole in the magnet so it can create more traction on the seatbelt buckle once glue is applied.

Our engineers reply that magnets in the drawings below are too difficult to produce due to the ellipse holes.
Drilling such holes is very time-consuming and high-cost and the drawing on the right is even impossible to produce.
But we can produce magnets with countersunk holes as the second picture. Commonly, magnets with such holes should be fixed by screws.
Also, our engineers do not think that grip will be increased with such holes. 
They recommend a kind of adhesive, CEMEDINE AB adhesive to attach the magnets on the metal buckle.
Maybe you can have a try.
